A Fukushima Ichi Shochu manufacturer approved to manufacture Japanese sake only for export, which is the first time in Japan.
The Tajima Tax Office in Minamiaizu Town, Fukushima Prefecture, Japan, on the 28th, granted a new license permitting the manufacture of Japanese sake for export only to the Tadami-machi rice shochu manufacturer “Nekka” (representative staff member: Masahiro Wakisaka). The company applied on April 1st when it started accepting. The delivery of the license may be the first time in China. Given the high popularity of Japanese sake overseas, it is expected to drive the expansion of exports. The company plans to produce about 2,000 liters of Japanese sake a year and cooperate with trading companies to export to Hong Kong, China.
